Andromeda – autentic weatherproof ship lights made of brass or copper
Founded in Greece by Christos Mazarakis in 1966, lighting manufacturer Andromeda looks back on a rich manufacturing tradition. From the beginning the focus was on high-quality solid ship lights which should be suitable for use on the rough seas. Soon, their quality and authentically antique appearance made Andromeda lights interesting as outdoor lights on the mainland as well.
The material used has always been brass or alternatively copper, which is being cast and provided with various surfaces, all of which is done in-house. Andromeda also installs various structural glasses (such as holophane glass) which emit glare-free light even with strong illuminants. The high demands on a ship's lamp are also met by the rubber seals of the housings which are often bolted together with wing nuts. On most models, they guarantee the particularly high degree of protection IP64 (dust-tight and protected from splashes of water on all sides).
On request, the lights can be varnished in a bespoke color. Also on request we can provide special solutions with Andromeda according to customer requirements, which include copper or brass pipe connections for the cables.
