Description

The exclusive and elaborately manufactured Berlin Schinkel lamp is a special eye-catcher with authentic historical charm. The delicately designed wall arm has a Pegasus motif that decorates and stabilizes it.

The lantern body, which is made of either solid copper or brass, stands out from this. The surface is left raw and develops a beautiful patina over time.

The palmettes on the roof edge are characterizing for this Schinkel lantern, developed by the municipal gas works in Berlin in 1892.

Material: The luminaire body and the roof are made of brass or copper. Wall arm, ladder and tip are made of black lacquered cast aluminum. The brass or copper surfaces are not sealed with clear lacquer, in order to leave them to natural aging (patination).

Glass: clear, satin or Old-German glass (clear glass with air inclusions) or opal polycarbonate glass. The luminaire is also glazed on the bottom.

Please note that the surfaces "solid brass" and "solid copper" will develop a natural patina sooner or later depending on the weather conditions.
