Our online-shop is entirely dedicated to the world of outdoor lighting. Since 2008 we are offering an unparalleled range of high-class exterior lighting. In collaboration with the European manufacturers: Aldo Bernardi, Atelier Lumin'Art, Authent, Berliner Laternen, Bolich, Il Fanale, Münchener Laternen, Philippe Capelle, Robers, Roger Pradier, Schlesische Laternen and Terraluce, Terra lumi focuses on the realm of the so-called historical or vintage outdoor lighting, i.e. lighting that combines material and design of traditional lighting.

Terra lumi's expert knowledge brings about considerable advantages to our customers: due to our longtime, close collaboration with our European manufacturers, we benefit from very favorable conditions – and we are glad to pass them on to our customers. That does not only include competitive rates and shorter delivery times but also special requests that our partners are always glad to fulfill. The many years of our team's experience in restoring and repairing lighting, assures our customers that we consider our offer not only as mere commercial products but we also have in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of the lighting craftsmanship. For this reason, we exclusively collaborate with manufacturers whose products completely convince us in regards to price/performance ratio, quality, design and durability.

It goes without saying that the prices for our products cannot compete with those in building supplies stores that are usually produced in low-wage countries. In return, our customers receive high quality - and often unique - lighting for a lifetime of pleasure. Many manufacturers – as well as our online-shop – do without a large stock of inventory in order to reduce costs. As a considerable amount of our lighting is produced only when ordered, the delivery can take several weeks. This has the advantage that many manufacturers can fulfill special requests (such as color, illuminant, special editions, etc.) and realize unique lamps for only a nominal markup.

European Outdoor Lighting: the Customer's Decision

European-made outdoor lighting for domestic use has gradually grown scarce: over the years, many renowned manufacturers could not withstand the pressure of competition from the Far East and eventually shut down or restrucutred to specialize only in industrial lighting. Therefore, it became difficult for the retail trade to offer high-quality as well as affordable comsumer products. In the end, it is the customer's decision whether Europe is to remain a production site for lighting in the coming years.

The Search for Manufacturers

Terra lumi has committed itself exclusively in lighting that is produced in Europe. Our team is constantly looking for new or scarcely available products from manufacturers based in the EU. This includes such lighting that is completely produced in Europe, from lamp socket to glass, as opposed to Asian lighting assembled in Europe with its misleading certificate “Made in...”. Some of our manufacturers keep the complete production process in-house; others cooperate with experienced local suppliers. During the last few years, some highly-specialized manufacturers, assured by their belief in the uniqueness and quality of their products, have taken a chance on a new beginning in the age of globalization.
